Welcome

We hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year's celebration. In this new year, we wanted to share something for you to think about.

"We do scant justice and honor to our God if we want, for instance, to deny that Mahatma Gandhi was a truly great soul, a holy man who walked closely with God. Our God would be too small if he was not also the God of Gandhi: if God is one, as we believe, then he is the only God of all his people, whether they acknowledge him as such or not. God does not need us to protect him. Many of us perhaps need to have our notion of God deepened and expanded. It is often said, half in jest, that God created man in his own image and man has returned the compliment, saddling God with his own narrow prejudices and exclusivity, foibles and temperamental quirks. God remains God, whether God has worshippers or not." ~Bishop Desmond Tutu
, from Bishop Tutu's book, "God is not Christian"

We look forward to a beautiful 2012, even with any bumps and problems. We know God will be with us always and all ways.

Quotes

“Anima” is the Ancient Latin word for “soul.” Never doubt for one minute that these critters — who are much more spiritually aware than most of us humans have souls.

There are many passages in the Bible that talk about God’s love and compassion for all His animals. These are two of our favorites.

“Man’s fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animals.” [Ecclesiastes 3:19]

“But now ask the beasts to teach you, and the birds of the air to tell you; or the reptiles on the earth to instruct you, and the fish of the sea to inform you. Which of all these creatures does not know that the hand of God has done this. In His hand is the soul of every living thing, and the life breath of all.” [Job 12:7-10]
