The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

We remember...

Each of us have lost someone we love, and that includes our beloved pets. This page is a place where we can honor, memorialize and remember our beloved pets that have passed over to the rainbow bridge to await our return to them.

In Memory

Bentley 1993-2009

Bentley was our beloved Cocker-Beagle. We got him when he was 5 1/5 weeks old and he passed at 16 on the day before Thanksgiving 2009. Bentley was a totally unique character. From his youngest days, he was one great snorer. He had a snore for every occasion and often entertained us with the variety. We will always miss his snores. He was a great dog and we can't wait to meet him at the Rainbow Bridge.

Sapphire

Sapphire was a bird I got from a friend. She is the mother of three of my other birds and when I got her, she was a very sick bird. Her mate, Sage, didn't make it and it took four weeks for her to get well. Once she did, her absolute favorite thing to do was fly. I let my birds out every night to fly around and she LOVED it. One sad day, I got up to find my little Sapphie dead at the bottom of her cage. I still miss my beautiful, sweet girl.

Dinky Dao 1995-2010

Dinky was my $2,000.00 free dog. Arleen and I got him off a craigslist.org for nothing. The gentleman who was giving him away said he no longer had time for this little purebred Shih Tzu, so we took him home. At first Dinky was lethargic and sickly, but after some great dog food and a lot of love and money, he became my little energizer bunny. First to the car and always on my lap or shoulder. When he became ill, we were heartbroken. But at 14 years old, we just couldn't put him through anymore. So Dinky went to the Rainbow Bridge to be with Bentley, Sapphire and all the other pets we have lost over the year.
